• As the NCUA brochure in our lobbies makes clear, the shares in PBECU are insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, where not one penny of insured savings has ever been lost by a member of a fedreally insured credit union.  This fund is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.  You may also read about the details online at: www.ncua.gov
• Each PBECU member is federally insured up to at $250,000.00 or more by the NUCA.  Many familes can increase the amount of share insurance coverage they received by the appropriate structuring of deposits in various individaully and jointly held accounts.

The object and purpose of this credit Union is a cooperative, nonprofit association under the laws of the State of Florida, for the purposes of encouraging thrift among its members, Creating sources of credit at fair and reasonable rates of interest, and providing an opportunity for its members to use and control their resources on a democratic basis in order to improve their economic and social condition.

Pompano Beach City Employee Credit Union

Pompano Beach Employee Credit Union has been serving the employees and their families since 1956.  Over the years the Pompano Beach Employee Credit Union has grown in assets in excess of 10 million. We are regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the Federal Government, and the State of Florida Department of Banking.  We believe in the "Small Credit Union".  We are there to help our members.

Membership

Membership in this Credit Union is limited to those who are employed or retired from the City of Pompano Beach, members of the Fraternal Order of Police Association #23, Members of the American legion Post #142 Pompano, Employees of the Broward County Sheriff Department servicing the City of Pompano Beach, Employees of the Pompano Beach Employee Credit Union.  Any organizations of the above groups and members of the immediate family of person within above groups.

Office hours are 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.  On Wednesday 9:30 am to 4:00pm.   The Credit Union will be closed on Federal and City Of Pompano Beach (City Hall) Holidays.
